Our hand therapy services are provided by highly skilled Occupational Therapists (OT) working closely with patients to restore optimum function, following injury. This program is coordinated by two, experienced Certified Hand Therapists (CHT). Our Hand
Therapists develop individually designed treatment programs for patients experiencing hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder injuries. We work closely with hand surgeons and physicians, communicating patient progress and ensuring continuity of care.
Services provided by our Occupational Therapists include:
- OT evaluation and treatment plan
- Manual techniques to restore and improve joint motion
- Therapeutic exercise program, individually designed
- Custom fabrication of hand and upper extremity splints, both static and dynamic
- Wound care
- Scar management
- Edema control
- Sensory Reeducation or desensitization
- Upper extremity lymphedema
- Impairment Rating
- Patient Education
