Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists is committed to providing the highest quality in musculoskeletal care for all of our patients, including those with occupational injuries. Our goal consists of not just treating each patient in order to restore function, but also in assisting respective employers manage their employee's eventual return to work. We are extremely proud of the WC services we provide (outlined below) and constantly seek new ways in which to make the entire rehabilitative process move as smooth and efficiently as possible for patient and employer alike.
- Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists is comprised of seventeen Orthopaedic Surgeons and Physiatrists who treat a broad spectrum of specialized musculoskeletal needs.
- All Worker's Compensation patients receive the same level of high quality Orthopaedic care and courteous attention as received by our other patients.
- Upon receipt of an initial appointment request we will make every effort to schedule the appointment by the next business day.
- We value a two-day channel of communication as it pertains to an individual patient's diagnosis, course of treatment, and long-term outlook. We welcome speaking with employers and other healthcare representatives during the treatment process, and will make all attempts to provide other requested information through verbal, written, or faxed means. For your convenience we have established a Worker's Compensation contact on both the Orthopaedic and Physical Therapy sides of the practice.
- We will provide workers with work restriction information in order that employers may place their employees in positions of limited or modified duty as soon as they are available.
- AOS physicians and physical therapists work together closely during the entire rehabilitation process helping to save patient travel times, promoting quicker injury recovery times, and expeditiously returning employees back to their positions.
- Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists now have three conveniently located Physical Therapy offices in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, complete with the latest in state of the art exercise, rehabilitation, and functional capacity evaluation equipment.
