J. Abbott Byrd, III, M.D. was recently invited to attend and present at the Second International Congress of the Chinese Orthopaedic Association in Zhenghzou, Henan, China. Dr. Byrd gave two talks during the meeting entitled “The Treatment of the Adolescent Athlete with Spondylolysis” and “The Development and Results of the Solitaire Stand-Alone Anterior Lumbar Fusion Device”. Over four thousand participants from more than 20 countries were in attendance.

In September of 2007, Dr. Byrd served as the Instructional Course Director for a symposium on Spondylolisthesis at the Scoliosis Research Society’s recent meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland.
