Congratulations are in order for one of our own. Dr. Wilford K. Gibson received the prestigious honor of the Virginia Orthopaedic Society Career award. Presented to honor an orthopedic surgeon whom the VOS Board feels has made a significant contribution in the service of patients, the award was presented to Dr. Gibson at the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA this past April.
Dr. Gibson has made significant advancements with his work that includes minimally invasive procedures including the popular “jiffy hip,” also known as a direct anterior hip replacement.
