With over 30 years of orthopedic experience, I specialize in minimal incision knee and hip joint replacements, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries and general orthopedics. Throughout my career, I have always pursued the latest technologies in order to provide my patients with the best orthopedic care available. I am a Fellow and board certified in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and also a member of the Virginia Orthopedic Society.

More Info: A native of Richmond, I am a UVA undergraduate and received my medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. My internship and residency in orthopedic surgery was completed at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth. After starting my private practice in 1979, I have been with this group for over 29 years. Acting as a team physician, I was involved in local high school sports for over 20 years. Understanding the need for athletic trainers in local high schools, I sponsor a yearly scholarship for the best student athletic trainers in the area.
