Mark A. Bewley, MD

Having been accepted to medical school while still in high school, Dr. Bewley made his commitment to providing exceptional care at a very early age. After earning his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio University’s College of Medicine in 1997, he continued his training in orthopaedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and worked alongside team physicians for the Red Wings, Lions, and Tigers. Following training at the world-renowned Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, he added pediatric orthopaedics to his scope of expertise. Dr. Bewley’s complete investment in his sports medicine practice also carries over into his personal life, as he participates in rigorous daily physical training, diet and exercise. Advanced training in trauma and reconstructive surgery led him to his eventual specialization in arthroscopic and arthroplastic surgeries including knee and shoulder surgery, meniscal repair, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral tear repair and shoulder instability reconstruction. As one of only a few doctors in the area experienced in hip arthroscopy, he is often consulted for direction on that and other hip-related surgical procedures. Dr. Bewley is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery for both Orthopaedic Surgery and the Subspecialty of Sports Medicine. In Dr. Bewley’s spare time, he enjoys woodworking, construction and remodeling, playing guitar and spending every available summer moment near the ocean with his wife and three amazing children.
